Q is for Q'ng about

While scavenging for a Q subject (hence the heading, I really couldn't relate to this letter) I came across a word I was not familiar with, Quittage. According to our most trusted resource wikipedia (do I hear some researcher cringing?) quittage is a  fictional sport in the Harry Potter book series. It is described as an extremely rough, but very popular, semi-contact sport, played by wizards and witches around the world.
Now how many of you knew that this is what this magical activity is called?

This is probably my shortest post ever, but that's all on account of the laundry seemingly being intent on raining on my parade.....see you all tonight on the blog hop. It's 08:10am here

Have a fab day.....

  2. Well, I don't think that Wikipedia is wrong about this one :) I love quittage, and would play it if I had my own Numbus 2000. But I don't. *sigh*

    Good luck with the laundry!

  5. Q words are hard to come up with, but very popular to know if you enjoy playing Scrabble.I am not sure if Harry's game would be accepted, but it is a good word to me.

  6. Quittage is one of the most popular fictional games, and has even made it to real life, of a sort, lol...

  7. I am one of many fanatics of The Harry Potter series and I have enjoyed reading all the seven books more than watching the movies. The first time I watched the 'Quidditch' game on screen I was amazed. It is play like Soccer, accepts it is a game play in the air on magical flying broom in the wizardry world of Harry Potter. The best part of the game is the "The Golden Snitch,” because it is worth 150 point and whichever team catches the snitch wins and thereby ending the game. It is the best series I have ever read and I hardly recommend you read the entire series; each story is simple unique.
