C is for Copycat

I have just discovered a blogger I would call wonderful because first she had an amazing article on writing which made perfect sense to me and was an epiphany initiator yesterday. Secondly she has another blog called  Jack and Lincoln which has reduced me to these ignoble depths of underhanded activities (copycat) .

I must confess (another C) I love country music deeply, and I think all things Southern (I mean USA southern) are hot...and I'm not just referring to the weather. That's always been a mystery to me, why? I am guessing it could be on account of a childhood filled with too much North and South which we had every VHS recording of when I was growing up.

Nevertheless, the new band that's my source of ecstasy this evening is Civil Wars. I'm only posting three of their songs here, it was very difficult to choose which three but did so hoping you would pay a visit to Jack and Lincon to hear the rest. They make me think of Sookie & Eric, Lafayette and the oh so hot Alcide.

My top favourites:
This is an incredibly evocative song and the first I listened to, suffice to say, I am head over heels.

I love this rendition. It.s beautiful, sexy, sultry. Joy is something, she looks so...."happy to be woman".

I am listing this one because I think John Paul is a beast with that voice...have you heard anything like it?

See you tomorrow with the D.

  3. Ack! Love it! I hadn't heard their cover of Disarm, but it was really nice. I love it when a cover sounds nothing like the original and is just as good.
