Covet by J.R. Ward.....Book Review

Covet (Fallen Angels, Book 1)
Covet by J.R. Ward

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really liked this book, so much so that I kept it for a long time hoping the owner didn't remember they gave it to me until I got my own hard copy recently. If I have to have a book in this genre in my library then this is it. Its a fresh take on what J.R normally writes and having read a lot of paranormal/ vamp romance novels, i know she (or he as I sometimes suspect due to the love scenes) is one of the best in this genre. I loved the intensity and suspense  present through out, if you loved the Black Daggerhood brothers, well this is over the top. Its got the usual sexy bits, hot bodies and moral and spiritual dilemmas with the paranormal happenings in between. And something quite different, a human becoming and angel and very comfortably so.
Its a fantastic, pulsating read, scintillating and intelligently crafted. J.R Ward overdid herself in this one.I can't wait to read her next one - CRAVE

  3. I've never read anything by this author. Thank you for recommending. I'm stopping by from the A to Z challenge and I look forward to reading more from you.

  4. Thank you Sylvia and I think she's great. I used to think she's a man until recently. she writes love scenes like I imagine a man thinks. Especially in the BlackDagger Brother's series.

  5. I should read this one. I like to read out of order if I like the sound of a story. So I read Crave which I enjoyed.

  6. Now I'm really looking forward to Crave. And i'm a stickler for sequence. I can't move on in my JM Auel series because I'm missing book 2 & 3.LOL
