I know I said I wouldn't blog today but I couldn't resist, I love Jo Schaffer and family and I'm glad I e_met her. Her blog tells me she's a phenomenal person and I think her family's creative talents are stratospheric
Oh let me also mention, I even love the fact that her husband thinks its an honor to bring us as close as some of us will ever get to Hollywood glamor (I hope I'm not in this category).
I just watched his movie's campaign trailer HERE and was really moved by his journey to independent film. You know how hard it is to find a great comedy these days, most just feel bubble gummy. I believe that Cleverer (video) is gonna be one of those rare creations that will take permanent residence in your cerebral cortex due to a great movie experience. The possessional credits of the creator alone are enough to leave you salivating. Clark Schaffer has worked on numerous successful films as a film maker, visual effects artists and production designer with companies such Warner Brothers, Paramount, Universal Studios, etc. He has created as he says "the visual effects eye candy that makes other people's movies look good", HERE is a long list of "his" awesome films that I dare say, we have loved. And now the Schaffer clan has decided its time to bring some of that home. I hope that each FB, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, Blog friend/visitor that comes across this blog will give a little of their time and/or money, to help create something awesome, an unusual legacy to be immensely proud of. By the way I think its awesome that someone will get the mask he made for Iron Man 2 but I'd much rather get a signed sketch of his to frame. I have a good feeling about this one.
